Drone is a good technology, it will be a big hand for the police, because drones help them to

check the suspicious who may harm us in the public

Since  drones  help the police to protect us safety,  that's should be our number 1 concern, instead of the privacy.

Truman Show Syndrome:Why people Think They're Living In A Reality Show

The article "Truman Show Syndrome", which is adapted by Colin Lecher, tells us that people are crazy about being famous over night. They love to be in the reality shows, like" The Truman Show,"  and social media, such as twitter, or even imagine themselves be spied by their government to reach their delusions. In the article, Colin lecher also explains that those kinds of phenomenon are effected both by people's culture and minds. " The Truman Show Syndrome is new phenomenon, but delusions of its type are not." Yes, most of us love being famous, all the time. That's the nature for human beings. It's also not easy for us to resist the temptation of being known, admired.

We longing for becoming a big-star, a well-known celebrity, and enjoy being the focus is a culture. It comes from our minds and it emerges before the "Truman Show." Actually, that reminds me one of my friend in China. I remember, when we were still in high school, she always told me that she wanted to be a big movie star one day in the future. By the way, we've never heard about "The Trueman Show"  in China, at that time. Also, we've never known there were such things like"Reality Shows" that existed in the world. My friend went to parties all the time, dressed like a princess, of course, wore a lot of make up as well. She said that she felt great when everybody looked at her and told her that she was so pretty. Everyday, she  expects  to be found by someone who is able to help her to fulfill her dream. Luckily, she did. She met a director who brought her to a very popular TV show. She was happy.

We also believe that being recognize by the public means that will follow with money, reputation, and privilege. Not to mention the powers. Again, take my friend as an example, after being one of the main actresses on the Chinese TV show, she became popular, and she always was surrounded by her fans. She got more opportunities in her career, which afforded her a big house, luxury cars and fancy dresses. Even thought  she didn't become a big, big shot. We all were jealous of her. So, who would like to say no to Dear Mr."Famous?"

Yes, we love being famous. My friend achieved her goal without the " Truman Show." However, I can't help wondering, is this kind of syndrome good for our society? If everybody has no interests in some careers like teachers, doctors, factory workers, or police man, only crazy about being a well-known celebrity to make their delusion come true over night, what will our communities look like?  What will be the meaning of our lives? I'm afraid we do need to think twice before our fantasy pops up.

                                                         Individuals in Groups

The article" Individual in Groups," which  adapted from the LosAngeles Times by Carol Tavris, states that there are some experiments show that people who in group stop each other to do things. The people who in groups also tend to take less responsibilities than when they are in the individuals situation, because they believe that somebody else will do it. Actually,  in my opinion, Carol Tavris idea about the "diffusion of responsibility" is  right. People who in groups always expect the others to take more care things than themselves, because this kind of things both happen  in stories or in our real lives all the time.

People take less responsibilities  in groups, because they are expecting somebody else to do their jobs.  The two experiments in the article show individuals always try to do more to prevent bad things happen, remind me a Chinese story, right away. The Three Monks. In the story,  one monk lives alone at the beginning, and he has to fetches water every day for  himself, and he has never have  any problem doing that. Therefore, he has water to use all the time. Later, the second monk move in, then, they fetch water together for themselves, and the seems happy to do that. However, there is  no more water for them after the third  monk came to live with them, and they all died, because they  all  hope the other person to do the things that they have to do when they are alone.

People also usually do not want to take their responsibilities when they are in the public areas. They  more willing to take care their  individual place instead. If you contrast the public areas to the private ones, it will not difficult to see that the public areas  always messier than the latter ones. There are cigarette ends, paper, coffee cups, and plastic bags all everywhere, on the streets, on the subways stations, and buses all the time. Even though a lot of people complain those bag behaviors, they don't bother to make their best to keep the public areas more in order and nicer, because they are expecting  somebody else to do the jobs and they take it for granted that that is not their responsibilities to keep  the public areas clean. On the other hand, most of us will happy to try  their best to make their own spaces neat and tidy. That's we  human beings attitudes.

I guess that most of us, more or less,  confuse,  why people  love to take their responsibilities during their individual situation. Now, they can find the answers after reading Carol Tavris'  article, that's the "diffusion of responsibility,"  and I hope they are happy to change this kind of behaviors from now on, I believe that will good for  our living environment and, of curse, benefit all of us.

I Know the Truth, So Don't Bother Me with Facts

Hey, I am not stupid!  Jeffrey kluger  tells us that there are some studies showing that we tend to believe hearsay in his article "I Know the Truth, So Don't Bother Me with Facts." He also claims that people are easily controlled and fooled by lies, especially by "insinuating pictures or inflammatory  quotes."  Even though the information that is presented is conflict, most of us  are still unwilling to change our  minds. That's because of our self-ego, and our brain's working systems. Yes, we all has self esteem. Our self esteem hold us back from accept the truth. That's because  we all want to prove  to the world that we're smart enough to know things.

We have self esteem because we loath to question ourselves. Even though some facts are standing right in front of us, we prefer sticking our opinions  to accepting other's. After all, nobody wants to be named "Moron." That's humiliating.  Actually,  that  reminds me the famous Fairly Tale "The Emperor's New Clothes" by Hans Christian Andersen. That is a story about two weavers who promise an Emperor a new suit of clothes that is invisible to those unfit for their positions, stupid, or incompetent. When the Emperor parades in his new clothes in public, obviously, everybody realizes that the Emperor wears nothing, but they are so afraid to be considered that they are not qualify for their jobs.

We ignore the facts because of our self-importance. It also recalls me the novel  "Being There", by Jerzy Kosinski. Chance, the main character in the book, is an illiterate gardener.  He've never seen the outside world. He learns things  from TV only.  Dramatically, Chance  meets a well-know celebrity, whom introduces him to the President of the United States to discuss the country's economy. Just think, a gardener, who can not read and write, of course has nothing to say, but the garden. Ironically, the President endorse Chance's "Theory."  Thus,  Chance is invited to appear on a television talk show to give ideas about the country's financial.  People all excited by Chance's speech, despite he only talking nonsense.

I totally understand why people  have self-importance, because I'm also one of those who stop myself from facts. Still, even though I have an agreement with that you  know the truth, I believe that it won't hurt if somebody try to bother you with facts.

I Know the Truth, So Don't Bother Me with Facts

                                                                       Hype

The article Hype excerpted from kale Lasn, in signs of life in the U.S.A tells us about that the advertisements which we see everywhere, influence our daily lives in some bad ways. like the author mentions in the article, "Not  longer are ads confined to the usual places: buses, billboards, stadiums. Anywhere your eyes can possibly come to rest is now place with a logo or product message.

Yes, in these days, I believe that the most thing catch our eyes is the ads. No matter wherever we go, whatever we see, we are always bothered by ads, especially on the internet. For example, when you try to check your mails, there are something pop out, and ask you," Do you need a app for your commute?" When you try to pay your bills, and another ad showed,"50% off in Macy's." That's really annoying. Sometimes it really piss me off when I fail to close them. I can't do nothing to avoid them, but accept them.

I remember one time, I was rushing to try to pay my credit card bill, because the time was due by 12:00 AM. Otherwise, there would be a fine for that. However, after I turn on my bank website, there were a lot of ads kept popping out. I tried to close them, because they were stopping me from paying bill. However, when I clicked the X box, there were more website came out. I tried again and again, but still, the same thing happened. I failed to pay my bill at that day. As a result, I got a penalty when I went to the bank to pay my bill the next day.

In fact, I admit that the advertisements sometimes do help us for making decisions, but, if there are too much to impact our lives, I would rather keep my life without ads at all.
